APOSTOLOS YAYANNOS
He was born in Tripolis of Arcadia (Greece) in 1945. He moved to Athens in 1960. He studied Graphic Arts at the A.T.I. with professors A. Tassos, H. Decoulakos, D. Mytaras. In 1968 he founded and run the studio of Applied Arts "Morfi". In 1974 he gave up Applied Arts and dedicated himself to painting. He has realized 69 personal exhibitions in Greece, France, Belgium, England, Spain, Italy and Cyprus. He has also participated in several thematic group exhibitions in Greece, Cyprus, USA, Canada, Australia, England, France, Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Iceland, Bulgaria. He has illustrated books of Greek authors. He has published literary texts in several magazines, was involved with folklore writing and the shadow theatre "Figures", "Stage Scenery", Hermes Publications, 1975-1976. In 200 , his novel "Good Bye Forever" is published, by Cactus Publications. Some of his works are in the National Gallery, Aegean Museum, National Bank of Greece, ETEVA Bank, Vorre's Museum, V. Frysira' s Museum of Art, numerous Greek Embassies around Europe, the Ministry of Culture, in public, municipal and private galleries in Greece and abroad. Also some of his works have been listed in the catalogues of "Sotheby's" and "Christie's". He lives and works in Athens.
