VANDOROU MARO Exhibitions at Titanium:
Maro Vandorou was born and raised in Athens, Greece and came to the United States to pursue doctoral studies and she is currently living in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. Since 2000 her focus has shifted exclusively to image making, with ongoing training, studies, professional experience and expertise in the emerging field of applying digital imaging and printing technologies to such traditional fine art domains such as photography and printmaking. She uses alternative photographic processes to express her voice and vision.

Recent solo exhibitions in 2008 and 2009 include an installation of Platinum prints at the Titanium Yiayiannos Gallery in Athens, at the International Press Center in Belgrade, at the Hillyer Art Space Gallery in Washington, DC, and in Portland, Oregon at the Newspace Center of Photography and at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
The Fragmented Light project has received support from the Regional Arts Council (RACC) of Portland, Oregon and from the American Hellenic Progressive Educational Foundation (AHEPA). In 2008 Fragmented Light was the recipient of the S&R Foundation Washington award for advancing the “US-Japan understanding.

Her works are included in the permanent collections of Arizona State University in Phoenix, the Oregon College of Arts & Craft in Portland, Oregon and in private collections in Europe and in the United States.
